Amble
Walk with someone who wants the same kind of afternoon.
Not a dating app. Not a step counter. Amble is for the third thing: a short walk with a person who already knows where they’re going.
You post a route you’d happily walk alone — canal, field, a line you draw yourself. Someone applies with a note. You accept or you don’t. Chat if you need to, leave the time open if you both still have to sort a day. Then you meet and walk.
Live location is only for the people on that walk, and only while you’re walking. Afterward you check in, rate the company, and optionally stay connected. No endless group chat for a one-off Sunday.

How it actually works
A route you’d walk alone
That’s the bar for posting. If you wouldn’t do the loop without company, don’t put it on the deck. Presets help; freehand draw is fine too.
Apply with a note
No swipe stack for hosts. You see who asked and what they wrote. Accept, decline, or leave it — the other person isn’t left guessing in silence forever if you decline.
Time can stay open
Plenty of walks work better once two people have already said yes. Agree a time in the walk after accept. Fixed slots exist if you already know.
Location stays in the walk
Companions only, for the active walk. Not a public track. Not shared with the neighbourhood feed. Off when the walk ends.
Then rate — or don’t walk again
Check in when you’re home. Rate if you want a connection. Report or block if something was off. You’re not locked into a second date.
