Mom? is a local-first lifestyle companion for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what data the app processes, for what purpose, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO).

Mom? is designed so that your routines, verdicts, lessons, and preferences stay on your device. We do not operate a Mom? user account, we do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising trackers in the app.

Depending on how you use the app, the following may be stored locally (for example via SwiftData on your device): settings (voice, scheduling mode, nudge budget, quiet hours, personal duration estimates), enabled routines, verdict history, lessons you taught the app, fridge notes (completions), weekly review text, ask budget counters, permission mirrors, and optional saved place coordinates (e.g. home or gym) that you set.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the app features you request) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional local application).

Mom? may request access to:

• Calendar (EventKit) — read-only, to understand upcoming commitments when answering questions.
• Health (HealthKit) — sleep, steps, and workouts you already record, so “tired” is measured rather than guessed. We do not write Health data.
• Location — to notice the handful of places you save (for example home or gym), not continuous tracking of your life.
• Weather — local weather via Apple WeatherKit (requires location capability) so outdoor suggestions stay sensible.
• Notifications — local reminders for routines you chose; no Mom? push server for that feature.

These permissions are optional. If you decline, Mom? still works with reduced context and will not invent measured signals she cannot see. Processing of Health and similar special categories of data, where applicable, is for the explicit purpose of providing the features you enable and is based on your consent via the system dialogs and/or Art. 9 GDPR where required, combined under Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR for ordinary context data.

Apple processes system-level permission frameworks under its own terms; BurmCorp does not receive a continuous stream of your calendar or health data on company servers for profiling.

Where available, Mom? may use Apple’s on-device system language models (Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models APIs) solely to phrase answers in the voice style you chose. Structured facts for the decision are produced by the app’s on-device rule engine. If the system model is unavailable, Mom? falls back to fixed templates. Personal context is not sent to BurmCorp servers for generative AI.

Optional Mom? Premium is offered through Apple as auto-renewable subscriptions (and any products listed in the App Store). Apple processes payment and purchase records as an independent controller for that purpose. BurmCorp receives only what Apple provides for transaction fulfilment (for example product identifiers and entitlement status via StoreKit), not your full payment card details.

You can restore purchases via the in-app control or your Apple ID. For Apple’s processing, see Apple’s privacy policy and your App Store account settings.

If you allow notifications, Mom? schedules local notifications on your device for routines you watch, within your budget and quiet hours. We do not operate a Mom? remote push backend for this feature. Permission is requested after onboarding (or when you re-enable related settings), not as a surprise before you know what the app is.

Mom? does not include third-party advertising SDKs, marketing trackers, or social media plugins. We do not build advertising profiles from your routines or questions.

If you email us (for example via legal@burmcorp.com), we process the content of your message and contact details to respond. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and/or (f) GDPR. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for the request and legal obligations.

Local data remains on your device until you change it in the app, use in-app delete-all where available, or remove the app. Uninstalling Mom? removes the app’s local data subject to Apple’s normal backup and restore behaviour. Purchase entitlements remain associated with your Apple ID as managed by Apple.

Under the GDPR you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights regarding data we hold (for example support emails), contact legal@burmcorp.com.

Data that exists only on your device is under your control: change settings, revoke system permissions in iOS Settings, use export/delete controls in the app where available, or delete the app. We cannot remotely access or delete your on-device Mom? data.
